HEINEKEN DESPERADOS

BASS DROP

Together with Heineken Desperados, we created the first ever music festival in zero gravity- along with a slew of wild musical experiments on the ground that created a content goldmine.

Bass Run: a series of time released bass cannons that released colorful powder into the air at the frequency of the guest’s selected EDM track. Junkyard Orchestra: a touch-reactive, Arduino coded yard of repurposed junk that functioned as electronic instruments to build beats. Bass Jump: a field of trampolines rigged with midi sensors that functioned as a control pad, allowing the user to create a custom track by jumping across them.

The final event: Bass Drop. Lucky festival-goers took to the skies in a fully decked-out plane-turned-dance floor which nose-dived intermittently to induce weightlessness whilst producer Mike Cervello dropped a massive tune custom created for the experience.

Throughout every event, attendees wore biometric wrist monitors to track their physiological responses to the music, and received custom content from each experience.
